One of East Sussex’s largest employers is seeking to fill a range of part- and full-time seasonal roles

Hailsham based Knockhatch Adventure Park, has launched a recruitment drive to recruit 50 people to fill Summer seasonal positions.

This summer the Jungle Kingdom will be opening which will feature new play features and exciting new animal enclosures.

Increased visitor numbers are expected with the new attractions opening. This is in addition to The Sherlock Holmes Experience. Visitors assist Sherlock in a new case and must navigate the narrow streets of Victorian London.

Knockhatch allows for staff to be offered greater flexibility in their hours, promoting a good work-life balance. No experience is necessary as there is on the job training.

Knockhatch Adventure Park has a strong track record of promoting and developing staff members that join the seasonal team. Several members of the permanent team that operate the park’s departments began their career as a seasonal worker.

Richard Whiley first joined Knockhatch Adventure Park at 16 because he wanted to be an Animal Keeper. Since then, Richard has worked in nearly every department with the company and is now a Senior Manager.

Richard added ‘Knockhatch is more than a career for me. I met my partner here, my boys love playing in the park and there is always something new to see. The business is family run and they genuinely care about their team.’

Seasonal staff are offered competitive hourly rates, have access to free parking, free hot drinks, full training and complimentary park tickets.

Carolyn Lillywhite, Head of HR said: “We’re looking for 50 fantastic people to join our team this summer. We are keen to keep waiting times for rides and our food outlets to a minimum.
