¡Información!Tickets can be purchased on the day at the entrance. There are online discounts when you pre-book 24 hours before arrival. The Lost World Playbarn requires you to wear (minimum) a sleeved t-shirt (no vest tops), knee length shorts and a pair of socks to ride the slides. Please read the 'What's Open' page for more details about what is available when you visit!

Welcome to the team!

Our visitors love the rides and attractions at Knockhatch. However, they need you to operate them safely. Please watch the training vids and follow the rules.

Fire Extinguisher Training

Please watch and follow our guidelines:

  • Call for management
  • Follow the instructions


Manual Handling Training

Please watch and follow our guidelines for staying safe at work:

  • Bend your knees
  • Be wise
  • Get help if needed


Slips, Trips and Falls Training

Please watch and follow our guidelines for staying safe at work:

  • Walk slowly
  • Look & report hazards
  • Get help if needed


Starting Your Shift

Make sure your uniform is clean, you have a watch and that you have your name badge.

What you need to get:

  • Locker Key
  • Attraction Key
  • Attraction Check Sheet
  • Attraction Radio


Radio Training

The radio is determined by the attraction that you supervise.

What you need to get:

  • The correct radio
  • Turn it on
  • Volume to maximum
  • Set to Channel One
  • Return to the charger at the end of your shift


Bin Training

What you need to do:

  • Transparent bags in Green & Black bins
  • Black bags in Red bins


End Of Shift

What you need to do:

  • Return the attraction keys
  • Return the locker key
  • Return the Attraction Check Sheet folder
  • Place the Radio on charge


Avalanche Slide

What you need to do:

  • Check the 6 Ringo's
  • Pick up the Avalanche Slide key
  • Queue Management
  • Assist the Dragon Castle & Rowing Boats at the end of the day


Chair 'O' Plane

What you need to know:

  • 2 minute ride
  • Chair 'O' Plane has a height limit. Not an age limit.
  • Children must be between 0.9m to 1.3m to ride.
  • Ensure the ride is balanced


Crazy Golf Training

What you need to know:

  • Check the clubs & balls for damage
  • Clean the course as time allows
  • Putting only , no swinging the clubs
  • £1 deposit


Froggies Soft Play Training

What you need to know:

  • No picnics, only food purchased at Knockhatch
  • There are four separate soft play areas for different ages
  • No throwing balls, they lead to fights.
  • Keep Froggies tidy!


Go Kart Training

What you need to know:

  • Ages & Height determine who can ride
  • Make sure hair is tied back
  • Don't forget to check the fuel at midday
  • Follow the rules!


Jumping Pillows Training

What you need to do:

  • This is an unsupervised attraction. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to supervise at all times.
  • Large jumping pillow maximum 24 persons, aged 10 years old and above only.
  • Small jumping pillow maximum 11 children under 10 years only.
  • No shoes to be worn on the pillows.


Tractor Tom Training

What you need to know:

  • 2 minute ride
  • Tractor Tom has a height limit. Not an age limit.
  • Children must be between 0.85cm to 1.3m to ride.
  • 6 children at a time!

(If you are a staff member under 16 you do not need to watch this training video until you turn 16)


Tractor Tom Playbarn


What you need to know:

  • This is for 3-12 year olds
  • Adults have to supervise their own children
  • Keep the place clean & tidy
  • Follow the Attraction Check List


The Lost World Playbarn Training

What you need to do:

  • This is an unsupervised attraction. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to supervise at all times.
  • Make sure people using the slides have socks, at least long shorts and sleeved tshirts no prevent friction burns
  • Always call for management if people to not follow the rules.
  • No shoes to be worn on any of the slides.


The Wave Runner


What you need to know:

  • All riders must be at least 1.2m to ride
  • Watch your head when you walk under the slide
  • Be careful when picking up the sleds
  • Only ONE person on a sled
